California Pizza Kitchen Continues to License APT’s Test & Learn Software

APT recently announced that CPK has decided to renew its partnership with APT and will continue to license APT’s Test & Learn ® software. CPK will use the software to evaluate, tailor, and target initiatives designed as part of its “Next Chapter,” including new menu options and customized offers. CPK’s Katie Anderson, SVP of Finance, commented, “APT’s Test & Learn ® software enables us to accurately evaluate new ideas on a broad range of metrics. Using APT, we are able to determine which location types and guest segments respond best to specific initiatives.”

 

APT Index: April Restaurant Sales Up [+3.6%], Marking Another Month of Strong Growth

APT announced today that the APT Index of restaurant sales for April 2015 increased [+3.6%], compared to April of last year. The increase was driven by an increase in check size [+3.4%]. The APT Index of quick-service restaurant (QSR) sales increased [+5.9%], while the APT Index of full-service restaurant (FSR) sales increased [+2.3%]. Click here to read the full report.

APT Index: March Same-Store Restaurant Sales Increase [+3.5%]

APT today announced that the APT Index of in-store restaurant sales for March 2015 increased [+3.5%] compared with March of last year, as Americans’ view of the economy reached an 8-year high. Techworld discusses Pizza Hut Restaurants’ decision to license APT’s Test & Learn ® and Menu Analyzer software. The article notes that Pizza hut will “use APT software to analyze capital investment, pricing, promotion, marketing and operations.”

The increase was driven by an increase in check size [+4.4%]. The APT Index of Quick-Service Restaurant sales increased [+5.5%] and the APT Index of Full-Service Restaurant sales increased [+2.2%]. APT Index Reports October Restaurant Sales Up 3.4%, or an Estimated $1.6 Billion Increase

Restaurant same-store sales increased 3.4% in October 2014 compared to October 2013, according to data from the APT Index.
